Chapter 14 is the fourteenth chapter of the Little Witch Academia manga series adaptation illustrated by Keisuke Satō as well as the first part of its four-parter finale.
Overview
Annabel Crème suffers from a writer's block in her writing of the next volume of Night Fall. Therefore, she decided to go to Luna Nova to visit Lotte in search of inspiration. In that, Barbara goes around them, interested in showing her own opinions about the novels.
Summary
The chapter begins with Annabel Crème the 12th getting stuck at the writer's block while in the middle of working on the new volume of her series. Looking back at the encounter with her fan, Lotte, who happened to be a witch back then, she got an idea of visiting her straight at Luna Nova, knowing the latter might be able to help her for some new inspirations.
At Luna Nova, Lotte and Sucy are doing their business as usual. When the two wonder whether it won't be a problem if they leave Akko with her own devices, the Finnish is shocked to see Annabel Crème the 12th at the academy arguing with one of goblin laborers — the famed writer had snuck into one of Luna Nova's food trucks so as to meet Lotte for some inspirations only to be caught by the goblin in question. Luckily, her predicament is immediately resolved thanks to her excited biggest fan's intervention. Wanting to help her idol looking for inspirations at Luna Nova, Lotte personally takes Annabel into a tour throughout the academy while Sucy covers up her friend's absence in the next class by turning Akko into the Finnish's likeness with one of her potions. Unknown to the two, Barbara notices them as she and Hannah reluctantly doing chores apparently for Lukić since they carry what seems to be lab equipment and potion vials.
Beginning their tour, Annabel is dismayed that she cannot see how classes in Luna Nova look like and wonders whether it won't be a problem if she enters the academy with her casual attire. This prompts Lotte to magically transmogrify the young author's clothes into the likeness of Luna Nova uniform thus making her less assuming in the academy grounds. True to this, they soon cross path with Wangari who quick to assume her as a transfer student from either middle schooler or elementary one and gives her one of LNN's Deluxe Luna Nova School Guide Maps, much to Lotte's relief as she barely had to lie her way out of this encounter.
As Lotte and Annabel Crème the 12th enter the courtyard as their tour's first stop, Diana is sneezing in the middle of her classes and apparently not in the good shape than usual. This disturbs her fellow students (Isabelle, Michelle, Priscilla, and Dorothea).
Although impressed by Luna Nova's intriguing landmarks and other locations throughout their tour so far, Annabel feels it all not enough as she and Lotte stop at the academy's cafeteria. As Barbara watches with growing curiosity, Lotte suggests to add a new character that serves as a new obstacle for Edgar and Arthur to face, perhaps as either rival or someone who makes things between them and Belle more complicated than it already did. Of course, Annabel finds such idea rather cheap and to their surprise, Barbara expresses her agreement about it out loud before running off upon realizing she slipped up her familiarity with Night Fall series, leaving the baffled young author, Lotte, and Hannah behind.
Putting such unexpected turn of events aside, Lotte and Annabel continue their conversation at the courtyard with the latter understands that she needs something new as much as something to improve her confidence in writing. Optimistic that her idol will figure it out eventually, Lotte reminds Annabel about things she loves in her series, such as Belle's unexpected coronation into the new queen of an underground community and a mishap that resulted Edgar and Arthur switch bodies, though she inaccurately cites the latter moment highlighting the extent of the latter's evident feelings for their female companion. This prompts Barbara to barge into their conversation once again, this time to correct the Finnish by pointing out Arthur came to understand Edgar's burden as a werewolf instead and adds that Lotte wrongfully perceives the series through the perspective of some shallow fans, all while maintaining her cover behind the nearest stone pillar. Unaware with whom she talked to but nevertheless correctly deduces her participated at the quiz during the Night Fall event from the other day, Lotte asks her to come out and discuss Night Fall together. Though too afraid to reveal herself, Barbara nevertheless had enough courage to tell Lotte that a real pro fan won't exploit their ties with their idol to influence their works. Unfortunately for Barbara, Hannah shows up and inadvertently exposes her friend as Lotte's unexpected fellow Night Fall fan, much to the Finnish and Annabel's shock. As the embarrassed Barbara runs off in tears, Annabel, initially amused by her other fan's logic, finally finds what she looking for and departs, much to Lotte's further confusion.
Later that evening, Akko is dismayed to hear that she missed Annabel's visit. As Sucy pours another of her potion over Akko's head causing a large mushroom growing on it while remarking the Japanese doesn't seem to be as much as their Finnish friend, Lotte states things going pretty well for Annabel since she helped her idol a bit. Indeed, during the next release of Night Fall volume, it features a new character in form of Belle's new witch friend who struggles to be honest with her own feelings because of troubles follow wherever she goes and her character basis turned out to be none other than Barbara herself. Barbara confessed to Hannah that she hid her passion for Night Fall series which equals Lotte's because of afraid the latter would ridicule her for it. Hannah, on the other hand, doesn't seem to mind about it despite her mild distaste with the series, but they soon interrupted by a loud noise from Diana's study before she could reassure her friend. To their horror, the Cavendish had collapsed from what seemed to be acute fever...

Trivia
- Considering Akko manages to perform Metamorphosis Magic with greater success for the first time albeit the end result being a winged elephant during the final part of the manga's four-parter finale, the whole event from Annabel Crème the 12th's sudden visit to Luna Nova during which Lotte learns Barbara's passion for Night Fall series to Akko and Diana winning the interschool broom race that secretly orchestrated by Woodward suggestively take place sometime between "Bee Commotion" and two-parter first cour finale ("What You Will" and "Samhain Magic").
- The four-parter finale, however, had a contradicting point where Akko learned about the Second Word of the Seven Words of Arcturus when consulting with Ursula about Luna Nova's future in facing the upcoming interschool broom race as opposed of asking whether she and Shiny Chariot are classmates during their school days unaware that they are the same person as shown in "Blue Moon". This in turn, indicated the events of said episode and two-parter first cour finale will be played differently had the manga continued just like its first and second chapters with "A New Beginning" and fifth and sixth chapter with "Luna Nova and the White Dragon".
